Bluebells aims to create a social Pedagogy where we nurture the individual child
Environment
Our aim is to provide an environment that values the child’s voice and cultural capital, by doing this we will create opportunities that allow the children to develop and strengthen their own possibilities. We do this through the child’s play by observing listening and working with you as a family to provide the very best in Early Years education.
Play Centred
We recognise that in order for children to gain in confidence and self-esteem, play needs to be at the centre of our approach. With confidence children will learn to take risks through play in all areas of their learning and development. Our focus is to provide plenty of play opportunities for children to have shared conversations and develop social competence, thus supporting their creative thinking.
Child Focussed
Practitioners at Bluebells acknowledge that by allowing the children to have control over their own learning through shared contribution and group discussion; will provide skills for independence. At Bluebells we pride ourselves on knowing each individual child; we are sensitive and responsive to their needs, feelings and interests. Part of this is building children’s social and cultural capital so that they develop a love of learning and confidence in their place in the world.
